Libby & Clare both received gift vouchers for their photo shoots. Libby’s horse Max is a 20 year old dressage horse and Clares horse Radley is a 6 year old coloured. Clare has had Radley for one and a half years now, she bought him for jumping however, after getting him she found out that he has suspensory ligament damage all round and was told to put him to sleep. Clare could not do this so instead she uses him for light dressage instead. Alfie the Collie dog also joined us on our shoot. The ladies both had 3 outfit changes including traditional riding gear, shorts and beautiful dresses.

I first had the pleasure of meeting Katrina and her 3 children, Heidi, Hamish and Hugo in the Summer when I visited them and Bertie their great Dane puppy at their home for a photo shoot. We did their photo shoot in their beautiful garden and we had lots of fun. I also photographed Katrina’s mother in law’s dog too. Following on from this I was asked to return to do a Christmas card shoot with them. We travelled to Formby beach in November where we built a sand ‘snowman’ complete with hat and scarf. Katrina was heavily pregnant at this time and I was delighted to receive the call in December to go and photograph baby Hans when he was only 4 days old.
I have so many lovely shots of this family it was hard to choose which ones to share here …

Hilary has owned Dino her horse since he was 5 – he is now 23 years old. Hilary’s daughter Georgina also joined us. Strangely Hilary is allergic to all horses except Dino. The photo shoot was a Christmas present from her husband, Mike. Hilary had 3 outfit changes including an evening gown which she was photographed with Georgina in and a lovely jacket which she paired with jeans. Hilary loved her images so much that she ordered a large wall acrylic, 3 bespoke frames for the wall, some card mounted images and a USB.

Sisters, Charlotte, Sophie & Verity’s Summer Photo Shoot.
Charlotte, 16 years old has Fizzy, 6 and Leon 13. Sophie, 13 years old has Calico 15 and Verity, 12 has Forest, 5. The girls were also joined by their Collie dog Alfie who is 7. The girls are very lucky to live on a farm where we met at their home in August on a lovely sunny day. The farm provided some lovely locations including some corn fields at the back. We also went down to the bottom field to get some great action shots – this proved really interesting as Forest got a little bit excitable! The girls all looked lovely in their dresses and each of them had 3 outfit changes.

Come back soon for an update on their progress when I will give you a sneak peak at some of their work.

Karen and her horse Pattie were the lucky winners of a competition we ran in Horse & Rider. Her prize was a photo shoot and an album. I travelled to Oxfordshire to meet Karen in September and the weather was kind to us as it was a nice bright day. Pattie, Karen’s horse is 21 years old and Karen has owned her for 9 years. Pattie is a lovely pleasure horse – they both enjoy hacking out together.

Phil Yale joined us in the Autumn and has trained really hard and is covering the Staffordshire area for Horse & Dog Photographer UK. Phils love of photography began when he was about 7 years old, when his father taught him how to develop and print his own photographs. Recently he began combining his passion for photography with his love of horses before becoming a member of our team. Phil’s goal is to capture that special connection in photographs that you will want to treasure as works of art.

Wow! When I look back I realise just how many photo shoots I have actually completed for this lovely lady. It started with a pre-wedding boudoir shoot, her wedding, Ava’s Christening, a family shoot and this time it was the turn of Rio her dressage horse. Our franchisee from Nottingham, Jo Jevons accompanied me on this shoot. Daina chose casual outfits combining jeans with different tops which worked well with the Autumnal colours. We had a lovely day in September with good weather, Daina brought me a cake to say thank you – It didn’t last very long!

Tue, 16 Jan 2018 20:46:17 +0000Amanda & Sara’s Photoshoot, Somerford Park
I have had the honour of working with Amanda on a number of occasions before, having photographed her horse Whitney and also photographing Amanda and Myles’ wedding day. I’ve also photographed Amanda’s sister, Karen and her horses. Karen has also booked another photo shoot with her new horse in April. For Amanda’s shoot we went to Somerford Park where I met Sara, a gorgeous Fresian Cross. It was a cold November day, but we were blessed with the Autumnal colours that still lingered. Unfortunately, it did rain a bit but we made the most of it and created some lovely moody, drizzly images. Amanda had also brought along her dog, Mila so we got some shots of these 2 together also. Amanda chose to have casual outfits on this occasion.
